More fish?
I got a new tank(10gal). I used to have a 2.5gal. I filled the new tank with water, and conditioner, rocks etc. I had a old goldfish (like a few months). I took him out of the old tank, and let him sit in a bowl of old tank water. Then I put him in the cold water. He was fine. It has now been, like 21/2 hours and he is ok! Will he die?
I also wanted to know, I am using a old Reptile Tank for my fish, The pieces of glass are connected by a strip of glue/rubber stuff on the inside of the tank. Will the water wear this away? It has been fine........
The only problem I see is that the new tank may not yet be cycled. Here is a link that will help you understand the process.;

I would keep an eye on your water test levels A non cycled tank is prone to ammonia spikes which can kill a fish.
Cold water doesn't matter to gold fish since they are cold water fish. He will be fine in the bowl for now.
The only problem with a reptile tank is that you may or maynot be able to find a lighted hood for it. The water will not wash the glue off the tank. Just keep a check for leaks.
Oranda and Common goldfish, RES turtle, ADF's, and a Betta
