Which animals do you love and which do you hate?

I absolutely love innocent animals such as rabbits, deer, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc. but I hate evil animals like rats, insects and reptiles. The other day I went hiking out in the woods with a friend of mine not far from her house when we stumbled upon a burrow with a mother snake and her eggs/babies Anyway, I ran back to her house to retreive a container of gasoline, returned to the woods and poured a good deal of it into the den. We found the snake and her offspring dead the next day but my friend got mad at me. I don't know why because that is one less evil creature in the world. Anyway, what animals do you love and hate?
How could it have been cruel? I am a Christian and in the Bible it gives reference of the reptile as an evil animal numorous times.

I try not to hate anything... the closest I have come is to hating humans. We are the only creatures that would premeditate something like carrying a can of gasoline out to ruthlessly murder a mother and her children just because they don't like them. Animals will fight over many things, that is true, but they don't compare to the evil of many humans.

I don't know how you could list those animals as "innocent" ones and others as innately "evil". I might understand the twisted logic if you had listed only herbivores in your "innocents" list. I would still disagree, but I would partially understand. Dogs and cats can be just as vicious, if not more, than snakes. Ever seen how they treat the other "innocents" in your list, like rabbits?

You killed a poor defenseless creature that was not trying to harm you or your species in any way, it was just trying to survive. Not only that, you killed them by drowning them in gasoline, which I can only imagine how terrible and painful the resultant suffocation and burning must have been. I hope one day you can learn to put yourself in their proverbial shoes. Your friend has every right to be upset with you, and I would not be interested in being friends with someone with that mindset.
