Will my Fluorescent bulb from America work in another country?

I got a fluorescent bulb for a reptile from America which uses a different voltage than the country that I have now. (where i live its 220V) So will the bulb work in my country with a fixture that i got in my country? I know for regular light bulbs, the voltages matter, but is it the same with fluorescent? And if it wont work using a fixture from my country, then what would I have to do so that it works correctly?

If it is a tubular bulb itself, it likey can work in a comparable european fixture.

If it is a CFL with integrated ballast, you need a transformer. to take your 230V to 115V.
