Reptile Foliage

I have a new pet (8 month old bearded dragon) and I need advice.?
I have heard that beardies can carry e-coli.. true or false?
I already have 2 birds (a cockatiel and a sun conure) and 3 ferrets. Oscar (the beardie) seems more agressive when the other animals are around. Does he feel threatened?
What are the best things to put in his aquarium? Rocks, fake foliage, sticks, etc??
Anything else you think I need to know. I am open to any suggestions. This is my first reptile, and I want to do the best I can for him.
I would highly suggest doing as much research as possible. Please read through the sites I'll link below. You can use rocks and logs from outside but you must bake them in the oven on 400F for around an hour to kill any parasites. Bearded Dragons do NOT do well around birds. They naturally fear them. Birds eat beardies in the wild. They must be in separate rooms.
your dragon needs:
basking bulb that gets Basking Spot to 105-110F
UVB bulb at least 8% UVB output that runs the length of the tank
minimum 20gallon breeder tank for BDs under 12"
over 12" minimum 40gallon breeder
Good greens
Crickets/silkworms/superworms/wax worms/roaches
NO mealworms, they contain too much chitin and have no nutritional value
those are just a few things, please go to these sites and read throught them. on RepticZone.com be sure and go to the bearded dragon forum and post questions! There are breeders there that have had beardies for 10+ years! They're really experienced and give out great answers!
feel FREE to email me! please do! I have been researching beardies for years
AND OMG DO NOT listen to that kid that just posted! She must not know anything about reptiles I hate to say. Reptiles, being cold blooded must have heat to digest their food. Beardies cannot digest their food under a temperature of 99F! If you want you reptiles to die just let them go at room temperature! That is ridiculous and I hope it was just a mean joke. By the way, heat rocks are not good for any reptile! Beardies especially don't have good heat censors on their tummies and burn themselves.
