Reptile Husbandry

Why is eating with a conscience so fucking difficult ??!!?

okay. so im not really a vegetarian but i pretty much dont eat any birds, mammals, reptiles etc. lol with the exception of eggs and byproducts like milk and even then i only get products that are organic and certified as abiding by animal husbandry guidelines (like i only eat egg substitute that is certified as such seeing as chickens are often treated cruely for the sake of some scrambled eggs). anyway...my friends and i are going out to get crabs and im becoming more strict about my seafood intake. example: i dont want crabs that are boiled alive. so im going to ask the appropriate questions when i get there but is there anywhere that specializes in strictly humane treatment of sea creatures??!!
oops i called milk a byproduct. my bad. i meant to say "byproducts like gelatin" thats been like the most devastating discovery ever. eight years of no yogurt or pudding...or jello *tear*

It's really not that difficult when you actually believe in what you are doing. BTW, milk is most certainly a by product. Crabs are gross, and I wouldn't eat them even if I wasn't vegetarian. You would probably get a lot more helpful answers in the vegetarian and vegan section.
