Can a regular Fluorescent light fixture be used with reptile bulbs?

I am currently building a custom tank for my bearded dragon, and was wondering if I can use a regular fluorescent light fixture with reptile bulbs? The bulb in specific is a UVB bulb. I just don't want to HAVE to buy a custom light fixture to have it safe to mount inside.... Thank you.

A regular household flourescent light bulb doesn't provide any heat or UV so it would be useless.

A mercury vapor bulb is a really good choice for bearded dragons because it provides heat, UV, and light. They last for a little over a year and are only $30 on Big Apple Herpetolgical.
