What should I do with my pygmy chameleons while I go on holiday?
I am going on holiday for 2 weeks and want to know what I should do with my pet pygmy chameleons so that they are alright. I do not know anybody who can take care of reptiles. They have a large waterfall so water is not a problem, but what should I do about feeding? If I feed them lots before I go will they be alright?
NO, do not just give them food and expect them to be alright for weeks, if none of your family or friends can care for them(or if you dont trust them) there are many cham breeders that have and will let you drop them off, like a cham kennel. try posting a thread (about your situation)on chameleonforums.com they are an awesome group of hunderds of thousands of people I have seen numerus threads on there about ppl going on vacation and need a place for there babys while they are gone and many ppl always respond, thats the only way i know he will be getting proper care.
Edit- DO NOT FOR ANY REASON, take them to petsmart or petco or any pet store for that matter, they are notorious for not giving your exotics adiquite care, after all most of them are 18 yearolds. i have heard many horrible stories or chams getting sick and dying from not getting care from them!!! PLease dont make that mistake
