Do i have the right watt Heat Lamp for my bearded dragon?
100 watt lamp at one end? 15" away from the beardy
uv strip light?
no light in the night, just a heat mat?
i don't have her yet but its not long now and i am so confuused what watt lamp i need!
i will also buy one of those Reptile Thermometer things.
also please tell me what the most dangerous thing for a beardy is and the things i should avoid!

Please, please, please buy a book about keeping bearded dragons before you go out and buy one!!! Keeping reptiles is NOT like keeping a rabbit. Although beardies are a great beginners reptile, you still need to have a certain amount of knowledge first.
It is of paramount importance that you get the viv set up properly with the correct temperatures and features which a beardie NEEDS (e.g basking area, hide, cool end, UV light).
Secondly, a beardie needs vegetable matter as well as live insects such as locusts, mealworms and crickets (these must be gut loaded, so you need to be prepared to feed these critters everyday - if they are not gut-loaded, your beardie will miss out on essential nutirients).
Also, you will need to dust the live feed with a calcium and vitamin powder such as Nutrabal every other feed, to ensure that the beardie get enough calcium (otherwise they can suffer from abnormal bone development.)
